Terms of Service

Orders

All handcrafted products are made to order so as to reduce waste. Depending on the volume of orders, it may take a few weeks until they are completed and shipped (Check the announcement banner for current lead times). Non-handmade items, such as tools and supplies, may ship within 3 days. All items in each order will be shipped together, thus orders containing both handmade and non-handmade items will ship once the handmade items are complete.

Orders are fulfilled in the sequence that they are received to ensure fair treatment of all customers.

Shipping

All orders, domestic United States and international, are shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS). You may request a different shipping service by notifying me via email (info@yingsleatherthings.com) prior to placing your order, however this may incur additional shipping fees that I will notify you of over email. Multiple shipping speeds are available at checkout for varying rates. I currently do not offer local pickup.

For international orders, the customer is responsible for all shipping fees, duties, taxes, and brokerage costs associated with their order.

Templates

I will eventually add PDF and acrylic templates to my website, so please abide by the following terms if you purchase them in the future.

Acrylic templates and PDF templates are for personal use only. They are a great way to try out new designs and learn how to size your patterns. Creating clicker dies or SVG (laser ready) files from my templates is prohibited.

If you post pictures or videos of the product you create using my templates, please credit the template/design to Ying’s Leather Things on Instagram (@yingsleatherthings) or mention my business/website (yingsleatherthings.com).

Selling or distributing my templates in any form is prohibited.

Custom Inquiries

If you would like to inquire about custom orders or white label projects, please fill out the Custom Inquiries Form or email me at info@yingsleatherthings.com. I’m always open to wild ideas!

Leather

Due to the inherent nature of leather, hides may contain character marks (scars, fat lines, color variation, etc.), making each item unique. Leather may also develop a patina over time, causing the leather to darken or change color as it picks up oils and stray marks from natural use.

Inventory

Due to the fact that most items are made to order, I have set the inventory to unlimited for the majority of my listings. However, if a leather or material is out of stock, I will contact you via email to discuss how you would like me to proceed. You may be issued a full refund, you may choose an alternate material, or you may opt to wait for a particular material to be back in stock, though this may take many weeks depending on the supply and demand of the material.

Cancellations

If you would like to cancel your order for a full refund, please email me at info@yingsleatherthings.com with your order number and cancellation request as soon as possible. I cannot guarantee the cancellation of your order if I have already started making your order or if it has already shipped.

Refunds & Exchanges

All sales are final, however if a product experiences a malfunction or failure, I will issue a full refund or exchange upon the return and inspection of the product. I cannot guarantee a refund or exchange for items that have been worn from normal wear or damaged from incorrect use.

Stitching Guarantee

I offer a full stitching guarantee for all of my products. If the stitching ever breaks, you can send it to me and I will restitch it, free of charge.

Products damaged or lost due to negligence are not covered by this warranty.

RFID Protection

Over time, the RFID protective fabric mesh adhesive may start to lift due to the nature of the built in adhesion of the fabric which is beyond my control. If this happens, you can send it to me and I will replace the RFID protection for your leather good, free of charge.

If you would like me to preventatively provide extra stitching to ensure the RFID fabric does not lift in the future and you do not mind the look of extra stitching (which would be beyond what is pictured in the leather goods listing), please let me know before placing your order by emailing me at info@yingsleatherthings.com and I am happy to stitch down all sides of the RFID fabric to ensure it cannot peel off!

Leather Belts

Each leather belt is made to the size the customer specifies based on the sizing criteria explained in the listing, thus I cannot offer refunds or exchanges for belts that do not fit the customer. If you are ever in doubt about your belt sizing, don’t hesitate to contact me via email at info@yingsleatherthings.com.

If you ever need extra holes added or if you would like your belt resized to be smaller, you can send it to me and I’ll be happy to add holes or resize your belt free of charge!
